About Rory Glass

Meet the Founder of Jenero Enterprises

 

For over a decade I was at the helm of one of New Zealand’s largest organisations, Lion New Zealand – the youngest person to ever hold this title. With a passion for people, I successfully fostered high performing teams, driving growth (even in declining markets) & an organisational culture in the top 10% in the world (McKinsey). I didn’t achieve any of this alone & can’t speak highly enough of the individuals & teams I had the privilege to work alongside. I know the power of what a great team can deliver.

Whilst navigating many business & people challenges, I was also Chief Growth Officer for Lion’s International Parent Group – bringing in new thinking and capabilities across Customer Experience, Digital, Advanced Analytics & Breakthrough Innovation. 

Before my role as Managing Director, I held National Director roles across sales, on premise & marketing. These roles gave me an in-depth understanding of business across the board, from transformation & organisational design to strategy & acquisitions. 

Prior to Lion, my background was in retail where I was leading multiple Category teams for Progressive Enterprises (now Woolworths) & accountable for 30% of their revenue at the time.
 

I have now pivoted into coaching, using my experience & skillset to help others thrive as leaders.

 
As well as my coaching frameworks, I can act as a sounding board to real business challenges, providing practical advice & support as required.
 
I have attended a Disruptive Innovation Course at Harvard University and have completed several coaching workshops and courses. I am familiar with numerous feedback tools including Human Synergistics™, the Leadership Circle™, Values in Action™ and Clifton StrengthsFinder™, utilising them frequently in my coaching. 
 
I have had both wonderful times & incredibly challenging times, as is inevitable in business. I carry this first hand experience with me into every coaching session - sharing  my insights into what has & hasn't worked so my clients can benefit.
